Great weather, great people and cool cars made the ninth annual DARE TO CRUZ Car Show a huge success. The event drew 181 registered entries from around the region. A total of $2,946 was raised for the Lewisburg Police Department’s D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) program. The funds come from entry fees, donations, T-shirt, hat sales and a raffle, conducted by Ron Snedegar of Matco Tools. Snedegar has been a long-time supporter of the car show since it’s inception nine years ago. Drug abuse and awareness programs are taught by Lt. Jeromy Dove in fifth grade classes at Lewisburg Elementary School.
