A multi-agency Women in Ag Event and Luncheon is planned for Tuesday, Sept. 20 at the West Virginia State Fair Poultry Building. Doors open at 9 a.m. for registration, program starts at 10 a.m. and concludes at 3 p.m.
Guest speakers include Jodi Richmond (Farm Financial Assistance), Kay Davis and Shirley Wilkins (Food Preservation) with WVUCES, Tommye Rafes (Farmers Market & Food-to-School), a Greenbrier County Cooperator, Donna Myles (Master Gardener Program) with Windy Knoll Nursery, Dr. Reagan Simms Rodgers (Herd Health) with Seneca Trail Animal Hospital and Jeanie Porterfield Wyatt, superintendent of the State Fair Flower Show.
Space is limited for the first 100 guests. Registration deadline is Sept. 13 and may be made by calling the USDA Service Center at 304-645-6172.
Agencies involved include the WVDA – Greenbrier Valley Conservation District, USDA – Farm Service Agency and USDA – Natural Resource Conservation Service.
