The Eastern Divide Chapter National Wild Turkey Federation invites all youth age 5-17 and their parents or guardian to attend the fifth annual Jakes Day on Sept. 10, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at Moncove Lake State Park. Registration will be from 9-10 a.m. Cost is $5 per participant; scholarships are available if needed. Lunch is provided.
Students will learn about air guns, hunter safety, fly fishing, rifles, shotguns, outdoor skills, emergency care, trapping and more.
Pre-registration is required, and a parent or guardian must accompany child during the events. Registration forms are available at Monroe Service Center, Union Outfitters or from NWTF committee members.
