The Greater Greenbrier Chamber of Commerce will hold an Open House and Business After Hours at the West Virginia Osteopathic School of Medicine’s new Student Center on Tuesday, Sept. 13, from 5-7 p.m.
Osteopathic medicine is often described as caring for the whole person – mind, body and spirit. The new Student Center is designed to be at the heart of the WVSOM experience, caring for students with all three tenants of osteopathic medicine.
The architectural design lends itself to an abundance of natural lighting, available to both quiet study spaces and group gathering areas. An inviting promenade and a magnificent terrace overlook the campus and provide ample space for students to come to know each other better.
The Student Center will offer a full-service café featuring breakfast and lunch and a two-story campus store. There is a recreation center that includes pool tables and Ping-Pong as well as space for student government offices, and student mailboxes. The center also includes a conference hall with a full stage that will provide opportunities for WVSOM meetings, ceremonies, and celebrations. WVSOM will offer this new space for utilization by the community.
Celebrate the opening of WVSOM’s new student center with a tour and reception hosted at the facility. The event is free to attend. Generally reserved for chamber members, this Business After Hours event is open to the public. WVSOM welcomes all and looks forward to sharing this exciting time in its history with the community.
