Lewisburg City Hall
will be closed Monday, Sept. 5, in observance of Labor Day. The City of Lewisburg will not pick up Recycling on Monday, Sept. 5. The Recycling pickup schedule will be as follows: Monday customers – will pick up on Tuesday, Sept. 6; Tuesday customers – pick up on Wednesday, Sept. 7; Wednesday customers – pick up on Thursday, Sept. 8; Thursday and Friday customers – pick up on Friday, Sept. 9. Greenbrier Valley Solid Waste will operate on their normal schedule, picking up regular trash Monday through Friday.
White Sulphur Springs City Hall
will be closed Monday, Sept. 5 in observance of Labor Day. Garbage pick up schedule: Monday, Sept. 5 and Tuesday, Sept. 6 will both be collected on Tuesday.
Williamsburg Thrift Shop
located in the Williamsburg Community School Building, will be open regular hours 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Labor Day. Other days of operation are Fridays, 5-7 p.m. and Saturdays 10 a.m.-noon weekly. The thrift shop is stocked full of clothes for both men and women, youth and children as well as household items, books, toys and more. The thrift shop has four rooms and a hallway full of items at great prices. New items are available every week and fall and winter clothes are starting to be stocked. Still life oil painting workshop

Dining with Diabetes
The WVU Extension Service and Greenbrier Valley Medical Center are sponsoring a Dining with Diabetes Cooking School starting Monday, Sept. 12. The class will meet from 6-8 p.m. in Annex 1 classroom at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center. Classes will be held Sept. 12, 19, 26 and Oct. 3. Each session will include an educational lesson taught by a health care provider and cooking demonstrations by WVU Extension Service.
