Due to the surprising weather in April, the HospiceCare Chocolate Chase 10K Race had to be postponed, but that didn’t stop avid runners from enjoying the scenic beauty of Lewisburg in the early morning fog on July 23.
Overall Male winner was Aaron Estep of Ronceverte with a time of 38:01, and Gretchen McDonough of Lewisburg took Overall Female winner completing the 6.2 mile trek in 41:47.
HospiceCare would like to thank all of the sponsors, participants and the city of Lewisburg for making this event a success each year. The Chocolate Chase will be back on schedule next April with the annual Lewisburg Chocolate Festival.
All proceeds benefit the Lewisburg Division of HospiceCare and The Peyton Hospice House.
