The Summit Bechtel Reserve at Glen Jean will be open to visitors Saturday, July 9 and July 30, from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. As a visitor you can explore the area around the Scott Summit Center, Action Point and Boulder Cove with either our Action Pass or Visitor Pass.
This is a great way to visit The Summit Bechtel Reserve before you sign up your youth group for one of our programs or if you just want to see the grounds and Summit Center for yourself. All are welcome.
Go for the Action Pass if you want to get in on the activities. If you just want to stroll around the Scott Summit Center grounds and take it all in, the Visitor Pass is the perfect option for you.
Some of the activities that can be enjoyed in the action pass include: zip lines, archery, air rifles, skateboarding, mountain biking, canopy tours, BMX, rock climbing and rappelling. Both Action and Visitor Passes have access to the Sustainability Treehouse that educates on sustainability practices, the CONSOL Energy Bridge that has walkable wings and observation decks, The Scott Visitors Center and Museum and the 37°N Trading Post.
Visitors are encouraged to bring a refillable water bottle (the reserve has filling stations), sunscreen, a hat, comfortable shoes, and food. There is a limited grocery consisting mostly of snack items on site but will not be providing meals.
To make a reservation or for more information go to www.summitbsa.org/visitors.
