Youth Day activities planned at The Greenbrier Classic

Tuesday, July 5 will be the official Greenbrier Classic Youth Day, presented by Polo Golf with assistance from The First Tee of West Virginia and The First Tee of Roanoke Valley.
The Youth Day activities begin at 1 p.m. on the first tee of The Meadows Course with interactive games and activities for children of all ages. First Tee of West Virginia certified coaches will be on hand to provide instruction designed to keep youth active and engaged for a fun and memorable experience.
At 2:15 p.m., there will be a drawing allowing three lucky youth to go inside the ropes with one of the PGA Tour professionals on the 17th hole of the Old White TPC. These young spectators will have a chance to experience the thought process of the professionals as they navigate the challenging par-5, as well as the 16th green and 18th tee.
At 3:30 p.m., the Polo Golf Scramble will pair two golfers from the First Tee of West Virginia and two from the First Tee of Roanoke Valley with two PGA Tour pros. The teams will play holes 1, 11 and 18 on the Old White TPC.
Youth opportunities are not limited to Youth Day. Throughout the seven days of The Greenbrier Classic, golfing legend Lee Trevino, The Greenbrier Golf Professional Emeritus, will hold Learn with Lee clinics for children ages 6 to 17. The first clinic will be held daily at 10 a.m. for youth 6 to 11 years old, and a second clinic for youth 12 to 17 will begin at 11 a.m. daily. All participants will receive a golf ball and a Lee Trevino poster, and one youth each day will be selected to win a set of Phenom Junior Clubs from TaylorMade Golf Company.
The Kids Zone, open all seven days, will include miniature golf, temporary tattoos, a kid-friendly concession area and games. The Kids Autograph Zone will give young spectators a chance to get close to the stars without having to battle the older fans to see them.
