Greenbrier Public Service District No. 1 announces extensions to its public sewer system. Line extensions are planned to serve the residents in the areas of Echols Acres and Houfnagle Road.
Though most of the project will utilize existing right-of-ways, District representatives will be contacting some affected landowners to acquire any necessary easements. Depending on the progress of easement acquisitions, the project could go to bid in late summer or early fall.
This is the first part of a multi-phase extension project to provide service to six established neighborhoods around the Lewisburg area. Completion of the multi-phase project will ultimately serve over 540 new customers and help alleviate environmental concerns related to failing septic systems.
Any questions regarding the proposed extension project should be directed to the Administrative Office of Greenbrier Public Service District No. 1 at 304-645-6632.
