Delegate George “Boogie” Ambler presented a Governor’s Community Participation Grant award to the Town of Alderson at the regular council meeting on May 12.
When other emergency repairs had to be made on the Muddy Creek Mountain water tank, it was discovered that the roof of the tank was ready to collapse. While the town had set aside money for repairs in a special fund, repairs would cost more than was available. The town reached out to its state legislators for emergency help. Ambler responded with this grant.
Funds were also received from a West Virginia Infrastructure and Jobs Development Council grant.
