On May 10, Deborah W. Johnson of Lewisburg, and teacher at Ronceverte Elementary School, walked into Allison and Company for a long overdue haircut. After washing and combing her hair, Allison King, owner of Allison and Company said, “You do realize you have more than enough to donate?”
Over 11 inches later, the ponytail was ready to be sent to Children With Hair Loss. “As long as my hair was, I never dreamed it was long enough to donate. I was thrilled to be able to do it,” said Johnson. “The minimum to donate is eight inches.”
Children With Hair Loss was created as a resource for all children who have medically-related hair loss (under the age of 21 years).
