Carnegie Hall will hold an old time square dance featuring the Allegheny Hellbenders with caller Lou Maiuri at Hill & Holler in downtown Lewisburg on Sunday, Apr. 17. Come as early as 5 p.m.; the square dance begins at 6 p.m. Cost of admission is $5 (food and beverage sold separately).
Carnegie square dances are held in partnership with Hill & Holler featuring musicians and callers from around the region. Proud to be a part of the Mountain Music Trail – a collaborative project between five counties promoting traditional music, dance, and folkways of the Allegheny Mountain region – square dances are a part of Carnegie’s efforts to preserve the musical heritage of the Appalachian Mountains.
