Magic will fill the air on Sunday, Mar. 20, in a benefit show for the Greenbrier County Emergency Ambulance Service. The internationally acclaimed, award-winning illusion team of Mike Snyder & Donna will be bringing their unique show, back by popular demand, to Greenbrier County for the fifth year in a row. The magical duo has entertained audiences in 33 states from Maine to Southern Florida, and from Hollywood, CA, to the beach resorts and casinos along the Atlantic. Internationally they have performed in the Bahamas, Bermuda, Canada, the Caribbean, the Mediterranean, Mexico, Portugal, and Puerto Rico. They have also appeared on international cruise ships, casinos, major corporations, theaters, and amusement parks including Knoebels Amusement Resort in Elysburg, PA, where this summer Mike and Donna will celebrate their 23rd consecutive year performing at that park.
This special, one-day-only show is sponsored by and benefits Greenbrier County Emergency Ambulance Service, which was established in 1974 and proudly protects over 18,000 people living in an area of 110 square miles. They operate out of one station that protects a primarily rural area. In the beginning the department was all volunteer’s but over the years the business has grown to a public department whose members are on a paid status and work 10, 12 and 24 hour shifts. The GCEAS currently averages over 400 runs per month. They also have a First Responder program with the Lewisburg Fire Department and they are dispatched together on certain calls in their area, ie; Chest Pain, Difficulty Breathing, Cardiac Arrests, etc. This has proved to be a very useful and valuable asset to the community.
The Magic of Mike Snyder & Donna show will be held at the Greenbrier East High School located at 1 Spartan Lane in Lewisburg, and is a show that is fun and appropriate for all ages. Doors open at 1:30 p.m. and show time is at 2 p.m. Tickets are $6 per person and are available by calling 304-645-2252 or at the door the day of the show.
