The West Virginia Woodturners exhibit opened with a reception at 5 p.m. on Mar. 4, at Carnegie Hall. The exhibit continues through Apr. 29.

The exhibit is located in the Museum Gallery at Carnegie Hall and is free and open to the public from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Members of the WVWA, organized in Lewisburg in 2007, are excited to have this opportunity to display some of their turned gems to the public in this beautiful setting at Carnegie Hall. The exhibit includes over 150 items from the very simple to the more complex that are sure to be of interest to everyone.

WVWA is a nonprofit corporation with a current membership of 45 and always welcomes anyone with an interest in wood-turning to be a part of the organization. The woodturners meet monthly on a Saturday at The Fort in Lewisburg. The next meeting will be held Apr. 2 at 9:30 a.m. with a demonstration on deep hollowing turning using WVWA’s Jamieson system.

Contact Gerald Chandler at 304-392-6241 or 304-573-2407 for more information about WV Woodturners or the exhibit.
