Crawley-Alexander Junior Crookshanks, 85, passed away Friday, Mar. 4, 2016, at Charleston Area Medical Center.
Alex was born Sept. 11, 1930, at Cornstalk to the late Alexander and Mary Virginia Jackson Crookshanks.
He was a retired truck driver for the WV Department of Highways and an Army Korean Veteran.
Alex was preceded in death by wife, Cynthia Lois Hale Crookshanks in 1992; son, Dwain Crookshanks; five sisters and one brother.
Survivors include: daughters, Susan Berry and husband Roger of Crawley, Lucille Shortridge and companion Dennis Vaughan of Crawley; Tina Forren and husband Randy of Dawson; son, John Crookshanks and wife Tammy of Greencastle, PA; grandchildren, Misty, Brian, Cassi, Al and Daisy; great-grandchildren, Autumn, Reagan, Liam, Evan, Jak and Grayson.
Funeral service with military rites was held Tuesday, Mar. 8, at the Wallace Memorial Mausoleum where Pastor Vincent Deeds officiated.
The family received friends one hour prior to service at the mausoleum.
