Old-fashioned Baked Steak Dinner
will be held Saturday, Feb. 13. MTA holiday closing
Mountain Transit Authority will be closed Monday, Feb. 15, in observance of President’s Day. Regular routes will resume Tuesday, Feb. 16. Schedule information may be obtained by calling 304-872-5872.
Lewisburg City Hall
will be closed Monday, Feb. 15, in observance of Presidents’ Day. The City will not pick up Recycling on Monday, Feb. 15. The Recycling pickup schedule will be as follows: Monday customers will be picked up on Tuesday, Feb. 16; Tuesday customers – pick up Wednesday, Feb. 17; Wednesday customers – pick up Thursday, Feb. 18; Thursday and Friday customers – pick up Friday, Feb. 19. Greenbrier Valley Solid Waste will operate on their normal schedule, picking up regular trash Monday through Friday.

Williamsburg Ruritan Club will hold a Shooting Match at the Williamsburg Community Building on Saturday, Feb. 20 at 7 p.m. Match is 8 rounds. 12 gauge guns only – full choke (.660 inch). Seven rounds at $2 per shot. Eighth round 50/50 at $5 per shot. You must compete in all initial 7 rounds to qualify for Round 8. Cash prizes awarded. Food and refreshment available. FOTSC rescheduled for weather
Friends of THE Second Creek have rescheduled their winter quarterly meeting to meet on Sunday, Feb. 21, at 2 p.m. at Second Creek Pentecostal Church Fellowship Hall, Second Creek. The church is located on Second Creek Road about 2 miles from Route 219. Following the business meeting Jill Fischer will introduce the viewing of “Monroe Speaks,” featuring area citizens expressing their concerns about the proposed Mountain Valley Pipeline. “Monroe Speaks!” was created by Lucid Media’s award winning Hollywood producer/director Marino Colmano, now located in Blacksburg, VA. Dining with diabetes
The Greenbrier County WVU Extension Service will present Dining with Diabetes Cooking School on Mar. 1, 8, 15 and 22 from 1:30-3:30 p.m. at the Greenbrier Committee on Aging in Rupert. This program is for diabetics and their caregivers and anyone who wants to learn more about diabetes. The class is free, but registration is required. New recipes, samples and working demonstrations are a part of each session, plus there will be an educational lesson by a certified health educator. Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Support Group
