Library Fundraising Campaign underway

Each year the Greenbrier County Public Library embarks on a campaign to raise funds to maintain the level of service at the local library. This year the goal is $60,000. The funds supplement funding from the West Virginia Library Commission, city of Lewisburg, Greenbrier County Commission and the Greenbrier County Board of Education.
At the kickoff event in December, trustee board chair Danny Boone explained that only through the continued support of individuals and local foundations can the library maintain the seven-day-per-week schedule of service to the residents of Lewisburg and to those who visit the area. In addition to patron visits, free computer access, visitor information, children’s programs, art shows, and special events offered at the library make the facility a hub of activity.
The $60,000 goal is the minimum needed to continue the high level of service the library is known to provide. Your tax deductible contribution to a great cause may be made payable to Greenbrier County Public Library, 152 Robert W. McCormick Drive, Lewisburg, WV 24901. For more information call 304-647-7568.
