Greenbrier East High School conducted its fourth annual Fill the Food Banks Campaign all through the month of December 2015 with excellent results.
Students donated canned goods and cash to help fight hunger in their community. Boxes and boxes of food were complimented by citrus fruit donated by GEHS FFA and were delivered to the Fairlea Salvation Army just before Christmas. Additionally, checks were distributed to community food programs on both the eastern and western ends of Greenbrier County: the Lewisburg/Fairlea Food Locker and Wellspring of Greenbrier County in Rupert. Sincere thanks to all students, faculty and families who worked together to make this year’s effort a great success. Sponsored by GEHS Go-Global-Interact.
