Uses of Hotel/Motel Tax clarified
in presentation at GVT
An informative presentation to explain the hotel/motel tax expenditures and the statute’s legislative intent will be presented by attorney Brian Helmick, with Spillman, Thomas & Battle, at Greenbrier Valley Theatre (GVT) Tuesday, Nov. 17, at 5:30 p.m. The event is sponsored by the WV Chamber of Commerce.
Newcomers Club meeting

Turkey Dinner in Williamsburg
A home-cooked turkey dinner will be held Saturday, Nov. 21 from 12 noon to 5 p.m. at the Williamsburg Community Building. Menu: turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes w/gravy, sweet potato casserole, green beans, coleslaw, rolls, desserts, tea and coffee. Cost: adults $8, children under 12 $4. Mountain Party organizational meeting
Members of the West Virginia Mountain Party are invited to participate in the organization’s annual summit meeting Saturday, Dec. 5, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Carroll farm near Hurricane. are held at St. James Episcopal Church, 218 South Court Street, Lewisburg, on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 7 p.m. and on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 12 noon.
NarAnon meetings
are held Wednesday evenings at 7 p.m. at St. James Episcopal Church, 218 South Court Street, Lewisburg. NarAnon is a 12-step support group for persons effected by someone else’s addiction. Call Susan at 304-646-6506 for more information.
Weekly Al-Anon meeting

Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Support Group
meets once a month, usually around the last Tuesday. The group is open to all who have MS and also family and friends. Medical students and such are welcome. There is no charge or fees to join.
