The City of Ronceverte was recently awarded $7,500 for the first phase of plans and development for a splash water feature, five bridges connecting the city park to city rights of way on Monroe Avenue and Island Park, plans for fountain replacement, and expansion of the Ronceverte Island Park.
Plans developed will include a design and master plan for the creation of a water splash park located at the children’s playground at the Ronceverte Island Park. The splash park will encourage physical activity among young people and improve quality of life in the community. The plans for the bridges, fountain repairs and expansion of the park will encourage more visitors to the park and tie in key residential areas of the town to the park.
