The GEHS Gold Golf Team played their last regular season match at the Lewisburg Elk’s Club on Tuesday, Sept. 22 against Princeton. The 9-hole match was held on the back 9 par 36. GEHS finished first for a four-player total of 151. Scores were Jacobey Gore 34 (Medalist), Madison Erskine 35, Thomas Willis 41, Luke Hanna 41 and Gavin Ray 44. Princeton finished second with 186. Scores were Steven Parker 38, Sarah Cole 48, Bryson Murphy 49 and Tanner Veneri 51.
Madison Erskine, Thomas Willis, Jacobey Gore and Luke Hanna will play 18 holes on Tuesday, Sept. 29 at the Berry Hills Golf Course in Charleston in the Regional Tournament against nine other AAA teams. The three-player total will count out of four player teams. The low total for two teams plus the two low medalists not on either team will play in the State High School Tournament for two days on Oct. 6 and Oct. 7 in Wheeling at Oglebay Park on the Speidel Golf Course.
