The 31st annual Taste of Our Towns (T.O.O.T) festival, presented by SIMI Sonoma County, takes place Oct. 10 from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. in downtown Lewisburg.
Still making history, SIMI wines have won the hearts of wine lovers every year since 1876. Its historic stone cellars in Healdsburg, CA, help make Alexander Valley one of the most visited tourist destinations in Sonoma County. Sourced from five estate vineyards throughout Sonoma County, SIMI is best known for its Cabernet Sauvignons and Chardonnays, although a diverse selection of fine wines is carried.
The SIMI journey began in 1849 when Giuseppe Simi left the Tuscan hills to find his fortune in the gold fields of California. Giuseppe and his brother Pietro produced their first wines under the Simi name in 1876, with the first harvest in Simi’s stone cellars at the present day winery in 1890. From the very beginning, SIMI wines have been a reflection of Sonoma County – a small, scenic and stunningly diverse region along the Pacific Coast.
SIMI Sonoma County is delighted to bring a taste of California’s finest to you at T.O.O.T. Wine tastings will be available at Stella’s Restaurant and The French Goat, which will include tastings of wines from SIMI Sonoma California, as well as other luxury wines.
Remember, T.O.O.T. Vendors only accept official T.O.O.T. Tokens in exchange for tastes both savory and sweet, gourmet and traditional. Cash will not be accepted at vendor booths. Cash only will be accepted at token booths. Credit and debit cards will not be accepted on the day of event. ATM machines are located downtown at the following locations: City National Bank and First National Bank.
Tokens are $1 each in person the day of the festival from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in packets of $5, $10 or $20. T.O.O.T. Tokens can also be purchased in advance beginning Sept. 14 by visiting the Greenbrier Valley Visitor’s Center in downtown Lewisburg or the Box Office at Carnegie Hall on Church Street.
