Members of the Lewisburg Police Department received training in cultural diversity. The class, titled Cultural Appreciation Training, was taught by Joyce Yedlosky and Kenyatta Grant from the WV Coalition Against Domestic Violence. The training focused on recognizing issues and barriers that may be experienced by people of different cultures, religions, and sexual orientation. Lewisburg Police Chief Tim Stover said the cultural diversity training was “well worth the time put in.” He said it generated a great deal of dialogue and served to educate all who participated.
