Another man has died from injuries in a single-car wreck that occurred in Dawson on Monday, Aug. 10. Chad M. Fox, 21, of Ronceverte, died Friday, Aug. 14 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, VA.
Derek M. Fitzwater, 19, of South Charleston, and Danny R. Fitzwater, 43, of Alderson died in the wreck on Aug. 10, when they were travelling southbound on Springdale Road near 1 a.m. and their vehicle traveled off the shoulder of the road and hit a tree. The younger Fitzwater was driving, according to police reports.
Fox was flown to Roanoke Memorial Hospital at the time of the wreck. Another passenger, Dustin E. Bryant, 23, of Lewisburg was flown to Charleston Area Medical Center.
None of the men was wearing seat belts, police reports said.
