In conjunction with the Lewisburg Literary Festival, the Greenbrier Artists invite the public to a special art event at the Greenbrier County Convention and Visitors’ Center. Members of the art group have painted their interpretations of various poems written by the artists or their family members. Some of the poetry is amusing; some thought provoking, but all interesting in the methods the artists have portrayed the subjects.
Greenbrier Artists is a nonprofit group dedicated to the education and promotion of art. The group is comprised of area artists who work in watercolors, pastels, oils, acrylics, fabric, and mixed media. They meet each week at Carnegie Hall to paint and share ideas.
This poetry inspired exhibit will run from July 31 through August at the Visitors Center.
