Event coincides with launch of the “101 Places to Dine” guide
Wild, Wonderful West Virginia invites local restaurants to participate in in the celebration of the state’s culinary heritage during West Virginia Restaurant Week July 13-19. Governor Earl Ray Tomblin proclaimed July 13-19 as West Virginia Restaurant Week in the Mountain State, which coincides with the launch of the “101 Places to Dine” guide.
All locally owned restaurants are invited to participate in West Virginia Restaurant Week by submitting a special or specials here: GoToWV.com/events/wv-restaurant-week/submit. In order to be listed as an official West Virginia Restaurant Week participant, restaurants must commit to running the selected special(s) July 13-19, the entirety of West Virginia Restaurant Week.
Suggested specials for participating restaurants include:
• 2-course meal for 2 priced at $15, $20, or $25*
• A shared appetizer/dessert + a meal selected by the restaurant. This could extend to the full-menu, or be limited to a select few dishes or a special just for the event.
• Specialty drinks
• Create-your-own special!
West Virginia Restaurant Week coincides with the launch of the “101 Unique Places to Dine in West Virginia” which will take place July 13. Restaurants included in the “101” guide will receive priority placement on the specials listing site, as well as being featured in ads and content for the event. Select “101” restaurants throughout the state will also serve as sites for official West Virginia Restaurant Week launch events.
