Pence Springs Community Church
Vacation Bible School will be held July 6-10, from 6 to 8 p.m. each evening. This year’s theme is “To the Edge – The God of the Universe.” Pastor Roger Persinger and the congregation invite all ages to attend.
Emmanuel Open Bible Church
will be holding their VBS from July 6 to July 10 (Monday – Friday) from 6 to 8:30 p.m. each evening. The theme for this year is “Kids For The Kingdom”! Each night we will learn how God used the children in various ways in His plans. They will be learning new songs and making crafts as well as having fun playing games and having refreshments. Weather permitting we will once again have the “water slide” at the end of each evening. Lewisburg Baptist Church
Saturday, July 11 – 3 on 3 Basketball All day event beginning at 8:30 a.m. until complete. Divisions: Middle School (6-8 grade); High School (9-12 grade) and Adult (19+). $20 per person registration fee, teams must be 4-6 players. Email jctbyer@gmail.com for registration form. T-shirts included for all pre-registered teams. Teams registering on day of tournament will receive a T-shirt on a first come basis while supplies last. Registration for all teams 7:30-8 a.m., welcome at 8:15. All teams need to be present for welcome session. Admission will be charged for spectators, re-entry stamps will be available, registered team members will be allowed re-entry, full concessions available. Tournament rules will be posted on site and available at registration table. All funds from the event will be used for a mission trip for the teen life group of Lewisburg Baptist Church. Bethel Church
will have their Annual Homecoming Sunday, July 12. Worship Service will begin at 10 a.m. with guest speaker Joe Hendricks, Jr., lay speaker with Carr Memorial United Methodist Charge, Princeton. Sunday School at 11 a.m. Lunch will be served afterward. Afternoon worship will begin at 2 p.m. with special singing by Lucy Ramey, Jessica Bolen and others who wish to participate. There will also be games for the young, and/or young at heart, such as horseshoes and corn hole. Ronceverte Baptist Church
will have its Annual Bible Day Camp at Island Park in Ronceverte on Monday, July 13 through Thursday, July 16 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. The camp will be limited to the first 50 young people who sign up (must have completed Kindergarten). There will be no cost involved to the parent or youth. All expenses will be paid by Ronceverte Baptist Church. Lunch and refreshments will be served daily. The purpose of the camp is to teach everyone about the love of God for them. Also, how a Christian can live their life pleasing to God in the day and age we live in. Brother Dale Elwell, who will be leading the camp, is a God called evangelist to young people. His ministry is to preach and teach the good news of Jesus Christ to everyone who will come and listen. There will be singing, preaching, Bible study and recreation. A registration and medical release form must be filled out for each camper.
