A Greenbrier County Sheriff’s deputy and a 25-year-old Alderson man were both taken to Greenbrier Valley Medical Center on Thursday, after a head-on collision.
Nathaniel Ward, 25, of Alderson, and Deputy Joshua Patchis with the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Department reportedly were sent to the hospital after the accident. Authorities say Patchis was responding to a domestic call in Alderson when he collided with Ward.
According to West Virginia State Police, the crash happened around 1:30 a.m. on Davis Stuart Road near Rocky Hill Road. The injuries suffered are non-life threatening and the cause of the crash is under investigation.
