Bicycle Club gearing up
After the long winter, get ready to feel like a kid again! The Greenbrier Valley Bicycle Club (GVBC) will meet Saturday, Mar. 28, 5 p.m. at The Wild Bean. Come out, see your old friends, and make new ones! No experience necessary – just a desire to have fun and to enjoy exploring Wild and Wonderful West Virginia under your own power.
AHMH’s Upcoming schedule
Tuesday Jam Sessions at the American Heritage Music Hall (AHMH) at Island Park, 315 Monroe Avenue, Ronceverte, have been moved to every Friday night – Mar. 27, Apr. 3, 10, 17 and 24 – from 7 to 10/10:30 p.m. Doors open at 6, music starts at 7 p.m. Admission: Tuesdays $7 each; dance night $10 each. The dance in March will be held Mar. 28 featuring Bill Evans & The Night Riders. April’s dance will be held Apr. 25 and will feature High Country. Admission includes food, coffee and soft drinks brought in by the audience and donated to the music hall to share with everyone. (Bring your favorite snack to share.) Wellspring of Greenbrier, Inc.
presents the Annual Spring/Summer Wear Event for low income families. Week 3: Men & Teen Boys – S/M/LG/XLG, Mar. 31, Apr. 1-2. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each week at Wellspring of Greenbrier, Inc., located on Rt. 60 in Rupert next to City Hall.
Annual Ramp Dinner
will be served at Leivasy Peoples Place, Inc., Rt. 20, Nicholas County, Saturday, Apr. 11. Serving begins at 12 noon and ends at 5 p.m. Adults $12, children under twelve $6, tiny ones free. Menu includes: fried ramps, fried potatoes, brown beans, ham, bacon, scrambled eggs, pickled eggs, corn bread, corn pone, dessert and drink (includes sassafras tea). 50/50 drawing. All proceeds go to support Leivasy Peoples Place, Inc. There is a long wait in the beginning, which we apologize for so come prepared. NarAnon meetings
