Benefit Shooting Match
The Williamsburg Volunteer Rescue Squad will hold a benefit shooting match Saturday, Mar. 21, at the Williamsburg Community Center, Williamsburg, with the proceeds going to Denny Talton to help defray the expenses incurred in his battle with cancer. The Match will begin at 7 p.m. Concessions will be available: hot dogs, barbecue, baked goods and more. There will be monetary prizes. $2 per shot, 8 rounds, last round 50/50 at $5 per shot. 12 gauge shotguns only. The event is sponsored by the Williamsburg Volunteer Rescue Squad. AHMH’s Upcoming schedule
Tuesday Jam Sessions at the American Heritage Music Hall (AHMH) at Island Park, 315 Monroe Avenue, Ronceverte, have been moved to every Friday night – Mar. 20, 27 and Apr. 3, 10, 17, 24 – from 7 to 10/10:30 p.m. Doors open at 6, music starts at 7 p.m. Admission: Tuesdays $7 each; dance night $10 each. The dance in March will be held Mar. 28 featuring Bill Evans & The Night Riders. April’s dance will be held Apr. 25 and will feature High Country. Admission includes food, coffee and soft drinks brought in by the audience and donated to the music hall to share with everyone. (Bring your favorite snack to share.) Concord University Board of Governors
(BOG) will meet with constituent groups and convene a meeting of the full board Tuesday, Mar. 24. The itinerary begins with a 10 a.m. meeting with Concord University classified staff in the State Room located in the Jerry L. and Jean Beasley Student Center. The BOG will meet with Concord students in the State Room beginning at 11 a.m. A meeting with faculty and faculty presentations to the BOG will begin at 1 p.m. in the ABC Conference Room located on the 3rd floor of the Student Center. The full board will convene at 2:15 p.m. in the State Room. An agenda will be available prior to the board meeting. After the long winter, get ready to feel like a kid again! The Greenbrier Valley Bicycle Club (GVBC) will have a meeting Saturday, Mar. 28, 5 p.m. at The Wild Bean.
