Greenbrier Episcopal School (GES) announces their annual fundraiser “Growing the Future,” will be held from 5:30 until 9:30 p.m. Saturday, Apr. 18, at The Hub located in Montwell Park in Lewisburg. The annual event is used to generate scholarship funds, support the teaching staff, and expand the schools programming and facilities.
“We want our students to be successful and this is one of the many ways that we help them achieve that success,” Headmaster Gretchen Graves said.
Tickets are $50 and include heavy hors d’oeuvres, beer, wine and cocktails. There will be a live and silent auction for items such as a trip to Ocracoke, NC, a four-course dinner for six provided by local culinary enthusiast Erica Bell, antiques, jewelry and art, themed baskets assembled by each class and many unique products and service donated by regional businesses. One lucky ticket holder will win a vacation for two to San Francisco, CA and Sonoma, CA valued at $6,700.
GES is a small, independent day school for students aged 18 months through Grade 8, located in Lewisburg. Small in size, the school’s programming is characterized by high academic expectations, individualized attention, and hands-on learning. GES recognizes the profound responsibility of parents and educators to provide the next generation with a foundation for scholarly and personal development.
“Our annual auction provides us an opportunity to network with members of the local community who value education,” Graves said. “We invite everyone who has an interest in growing the future through personalized learning to attend this fun event and learn more about what we have to offer.”
