After last year’s successful production of Seussical Jr., Director Courtney Susman knew the young actors in the Greenbrier Valley were ready for the challenge of Les Miserables: School Edition. Adapted from Victor Hugo’s classic novel, this epic tale of broken dreams, passion and redemption is set in France in the throes of revolution. Local students ranging in age from 9-18 have been rehearsing since late January to bring life to the well-known musical. Susman explained that the students have the focus and the drive for a musical of this caliber.
“We have a very special group of young people who are passionate about the arts,” Susman said. “I knew I could match their passion with Les Miserables.”
