The Greenbrier has announced the appointment of Douglas Miller as its new Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Promotions.
Miller’s relationship with The Greenbrier began last year when The Greenbrier partnered with the NFL football team, the New Orleans Saints, and hosted the team at the brand-new, 50,000 square foot Advocare Sports Performance Center for their Summer Training Camp. During that time, Mr. Miller had just entered his 24th season with the NFL and his ninth year with the New Orleans Saints as Executive Director of Communications.
Before joining the Saints, Miller was employed by the New York Jets in 1991 as a public relations intern and one year later, was hired full-time. During his time with the Jets, Miller held various positions including the club’s Director of Publications, Assistant Director of Public Relations, Community Relations Manager and then the Director of Public and Media Relations from 2002-2006.
Aside from being employed with the Saints, Miller has also worked for the NFL as a Media Relations Specialist for seven AFC Championship games and as the Public and Media Relations Liaison at 10 Super Bowls. In 2009 that he earned his first Super Bowl ring as a member of the New Orleans Saints at Super Bowl XLIV.
