
Edith Marie Bostic, 86, of White Sulphur Springs passed away on Sept. 15, 2026, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
She was born Aug. 24, 1940 in Alvon, WV, the daughter of the late Lawrence and Oatie Kincaid Dixon.
Edith was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church. She loved her flowers and keeping her house spotless. Edith worked various jobs but probably enjoyed setting with the elderly the most.
She was preceded in death by her son, David Ray Bostic; son-in-law Danny Boggs; brothers Melvin and Jimmy Dixon.
Surviving are her daughters, Teresa Seldomridge (Tony) of Salem, Va., and Elizabeth “Ducky” Boggs of Union, W.Va.; son Johnny Bostic (Tammy) of White Sulphur Springs; sister Betty Hepler of Nokesville, Va.; six grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 19, at 2 p.m. at the Emmanuel United Methodist Church in White Sulphur Springs with Rev. Chris Brewster officiating. Interment will follow at the McCreary Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until time of services at the church on Saturday.
Pallbearers for Mrs. Bostic will be Chad, Kevin, Eric, Austin, Hunter, and Justin.
