Martha Ann Windon, affectionately known as “Marty,” passed away on June 10, 2026, at the age of 84 at CAMC General Hospital in Charleston, WV. Born on Nov. 29, 1941, in Union, WV, Martha was a proud 1957 graduate of Union High School. She lived a vibrant and full life, marked by her outgoing and encouraging spirit, a little bit of sass, and a wisdom that touched all who knew her. Never one to shy away from speaking her mind, Martha was known for telling others exactly what they needed to hear, whether they wanted to hear it or not.

Martha’s career was distinguished by many years of dedicated work as a Golf Concierge at The Greenbrier, as well as time spent with H & R Block and Greenbrier Insurance. Her passion extended beyond her professional life into her hobbies, which included bowling, golf, and being an ardent fan of WVU Mountaineer Athletics. She also delighted in entering flowers at the West Virginia State Fair and enjoyed crafting with plastic canvas.

She was born Martha Ann Peterson, daughter of the late Alva and Grace Tomlinson Peterson. Martha was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harold Lee Windon.

Martha’s family was central to her life. She is lovingly survived by her daughter, Leigh Ann Wiseman; grandchildren Justin Lee Windon (Lindsey), Tarisa Whitt (Nathaniel Pitzer); and great-grandchildren Hunter, Hadley, Brooklyne, and Braelyne. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Mary Ellen Windon, her niece Missy Windon VanBuren (Wayne) and great-nephew, Grayson VanBuren.

The family will hold a visitation with the public on June 16, from 6 to 7 p.m. at Morgan Funeral Home, 252 Montvue Dr, Lewisburg, WV 24901. Following the visitation, a Celebration of Life will take place from 7 p.m. with Pastor Roger “Wahoo” McDaniel officiating.

Marty’s life was marked by her strength, candidness, and deep devotion to those she loved. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth, wisdom, and a spirited approach to life that will be remembered fondly by all who knew her.

Online guestbook can be signed at www.morganfh.net. Arrangements entrusted to Morgan Funeral Home, Lewisburg, WV.
