The WVU Williamsburg Community Educational Outreach Service met on Tuesday, May 12 for their monthly meeting. Members shared what they knew about World War II but Cassandria Perkins, who presented the WV Extension prepared lesson, shared information she gathered and her own memories of the West Virginia military service in the state during WWII.
Shela McComsey, club health motivator, shared information on how to handle stress and grief by “Practicing Mindfulness” using some exercises.
The club will be participating in the annual county CEOS Achievement Day on May 19 at the WV State Fairgrounds.
The club will meet at the Williamsburg Historical Foundation Museum on June 9, beginning at noon with a potluck lunch. Linda Spencer will be presenting the lesson “History of Small Towns in West Virginia.”
