Grace Weikle, a dedicated healthcare professional and cherished member of the Greenbrier Valley community, passed away on Apr. 25, 2026, in Ronceverte, WV, following a brief battle with cancer.

Born in Warm Springs, VA, Grace was a graduate of White Sulphur Springs High School. She devoted over 42 years of her career to the Greenbrier Valley Medical Center, where she worked in the operating room, providing vital support and care to countless patients. Her commitment and expertise were hallmarks of her professional life, and she was respected by colleagues and patients alike.

Grace’s vivacious personality shone brightly throughout her life. Known as the life of the party and a natural jokester, she brought joy and laughter to every occasion. Beyond her professional endeavors, she had a deep love for the outdoors, enjoying the beach and camping trips, and treasured quiet moments spent cooking or watching Hallmark Christmas movies. Her family was her pride and greatest accomplishment, especially her beloved grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ferren and Carrie Law Liptrap; her husband, Richard Weikle; her sisters, Ellen Foster and Peggy Clemens; and her brother, Butch Liptrap. Grace is lovingly remembered by her son, Jimmy Vance, and his wife, Genny; her grandsons, Tyler Vance and Jameson Vance; and her sister, Beth Negron, and her husband, Angel.

Services to honor Grace’s life will be held at Morgan Funeral Home, 252 Montvue Drive, Lewisburg, WV. Visitation is scheduled for May 3, from 3 to 5 p.m., followed by a Celebration of Life at 5 p.m.

Grace’s legacy of warmth, dedication, and spirited joy leaves an enduring imprint on all who knew her. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered as a wide-open, fun-loving soul who enriched the lives of many.

In lieu of flowers the family would like donations made to Shop with a Cop, payable to GV FOP #105, PO Box 1652, Lewisburg, WV 24901. Online guestbook can be signed at www.morganfh.net. Arrangements entrusted to Morgan Funeral Home, Lewisburg, WV.
