Kathryn Rosemary Evans, known to many as Rose, passed away on Apr. 19, 2026, in Lewisburg, WV. She was born on Feb. 6, 1966, in Ronceverte, WV. Rose lived a life that was upbeat and straightforward. She never complained and took each day as it came. She was not afraid to tell you how it was, always honest and true to herself.
Rose found joy in simple pleasures. She loved watching TV and enjoyed attending softball games. Her fondness for house plants brought a touch of nature into her home. Traveling and visiting the beach were among her favorite activities, experiences she cherished greatly.
A visitation will be held on Apr. 23, from 3 to 4 p.m. at Morgan Funeral Home, located at 252 Montvue Dr, Lewisburg, WV 24901. Following the visitation, a memorial service will take place at the same location at 4 p.m. with Pastor Steve Barnett officiating.
Rose is survived by her life partner, Robert Hunsberger, and her daughter, Ally Evans. She also leaves behind several extended family members and friends who will remember her warmth and candid spirit.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Velma Blankenship, and her husband, James Lee Evans.
Rose will be missed by all who knew her for her honesty, her love of life, and her quiet strength.
