A new Lewisburg business, 365ART, held an open house on Tuesday, Apr. 21, at their 1347 Jefferson Street North location (near Kilcollin Dental). Founders Jill and Dennis Spencer said that their aim is to provide reasonably priced supplies, artwork, and classes while supporting the local artist community.
The shop currently offers paints, substrates, frames, and hands-on kits and is gathering community input for future inventory. Classes are held weekly and monthly, including watercolor sessions led by Jeanne Brenneman where beginners can receive starter kits and experienced artists may bring or purchase supplies.
In May, the shop has several classes planned, including a free paper marble dyeing class presented by Greenbrier Valley Pride and an introductory tapestry class with Susan Ernst, with reservations available by phone or email. The store also features original work from local artisans, including handmade jewelry, hand-woven goods, wood-turned pieces, clothing, prints, and watercolors.
365ART will be open on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sundays from 12 noon to 5 p.m. Visit 365ART on Facebook for more information, call 304-992-2799, or email 365artsupply@gmail.com
