Renick Ruritan Club is sponsoring a Potato Bar Fundraiser for Crisis Relief Fund. Mt. Hermon UMC, Mar. 21, from 5-7 p.m. Cost by donation. Menu will consist of baked potatoes with all the toppings and a side salad. All are welcome to attend.
Williamsburg Shooting Match

The Williamsburg Shooting Match hopes to see you on Mar. 21. The matches will begin at 6 p.m. NOTE TIME CHANGE. Come early! Come Hungry! Bring your family. Delicious hot food and refreshments will be available starting at 6 p.m. Families welcomed; you don’t have to shoot to come get a meal! The Match will be eight rounds, 12-gauge guns only. Full choke, .660 inch minimum.
Screw in chokes must be from a recognized supplier (patented) and ex-tend no more than 3 inches beyond original barrel. Barrel length 34” maximum. First Seven rounds @ $2.50 per shot, eighth round 50/50 @$7.50 per shot. Shooters must compete in the first 7 rounds in order to compete in the 8th round. 50/50 splatter match is $1 per chance between rounds – Cash prizes will be awarded. You do not need to be a shooter to win! The match will be held at the Community Building 6571 Shoestring, Trail, Williamsburg, WV. We hope to see you all there. Flying Falcons 4-H Soup Luncheon March 22
Come share with the Williamsburg Flying Falcons 4-H on Sunday, Mar. 22 for a variety of homemade soups (chili, chicken noodle, vegetable, broccoli cheese and many more), as well as a peanut butter or grilled cheese sandwich and a variety of homemade desserts and a drink. The lunch will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Williamsburg Community Building. The cost is $5 for adults and $3 for children under 12. The proceeds will help send club members to camp and on their annual club trip. Call 304-645-6867 with any questions. Night-Glow Easter Egg Hunt set for March 27 at GV Nazarene
A nighttime Easter egg hunt for children featuring glow-in-the-dark eggs will take place Friday, Mar. 27 at 8 p.m., at Greenbrier Valley Church of the Nazarene in Fairlea. Several hundred plastic eggs are being prepared for the event, each marked by small glow sticks and containing a small item of candy. The church property will be sectioned off by various age levels, including one section designated for children with special needs. Each participant should bring a basket or bag in which to place the eggs found. Additionally, gift cards will be offered as special bonus prizes, provided by the church family and local merchants. If inclement weather occurs and the event is canceled or rescheduled, information will be posted on the church’s Facebook page at “Greenbrier Valley Church of the Nazarene” and the church’s website at gvnazarene.org. The church is located at 167 Dawkins Drive, one-half mile south of Greenbrier Valley Medical Center, just off Davis Stuart Road in Fairlea.
Easter In The Park in Renick
On Mar. 28, at the Renick Park. Egg Hunt starts at 11 a.m. The Easter Bunny and Pals will be there! Hundreds of filled eggs, prizes for all children, photo ops, hot dogs, drinks and chips for everyone. Children age infant to 12 years old are welcome to join the fun! Sponsored by the Renick Community Center, the Renick Ruritans and the Town of Renick. Everyone is welcome to attend.
Pruning Workshop March 28
On Saturday, Mar. 28, the Greenbrier Valley Master Gardener Association will host a pruning class at the Demonstration Garden at the State Fair of West Virginia from 1 to 4 p.m. where you will receive hands on experience on how to prune. The garden is in front of the WVU Building on the fairgrounds. Dr. Mira Danilovich will be showing you how to best prune your trees and shrubs. She is the state coordinator for the West Virginia Master Gardeners, and a consumer horticulture specialist and associate professor with WVU Extension. This program is free and open to the public.
