The countdown is over – the 100th annual State Fair of West Virginia began this week on Thursday, Aug. 7, and will run through Saturday, Aug. 16, in Lewisburg! Gates open each day at 8 a.m. with carnival rides open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
This milestone year promises to be one to remember, with 10 full days of carnival rides, live entertainment, agricultural exhibits, delicious fair food, and one-of-a-kind experiences.
“We are beyond excited to welcome guests to this historic year,” said Kelly Collins, CEO of the State Fair of West Virginia. “For 100 years, the State Fair has brought West Virginians and visitors together to celebrate agriculture, family fun, and community. This year, we’re honoring that legacy while creating new memories for the next generation.”
Daily attractions include the Sea Lion Splash Show, Swifty Swine Pig Racing, Oregon Trail Display, Hot Glass Academy, the Moogician, and the return of Hypnotist Catherine Hickland to the UScellular Free Stage!
The 2025 Concert Series features TPAIN (Aug. 7), Kansas and 38 SPECIAL (Aug. 8), Buckin’ B Bull Ride (Aug. 9), Zach Top with Special Guest Cole Goodwin (Aug. 10), Cornell Gunter’s Coasters, Drifters, and Platters (Aug. 11), Nate Smith with Special Guest Preston Cooper (Aug. 12), Wyatt Flores with Special Guest Kashus Culpepper, (Aug. 13), Lauren Daigle with Special Guest Franni Cash (Aug. 14), Jeff Dunham (Aug. 15), Miranda Lambert with Special Guest Myles Morgan (Aug. 16).
Keeping true to tradition, the fair has a full 10-day schedule of livestock events, including the WV High School Rodeo, Junior 4-H and FFA livestock shows, horse shows, and the memorable and fan-favorite Draft Horse Pull on Friday, Aug. 15 at 9 a.m.!
To celebrate the 100th annual event, the State Fair will feature food specials from vendors, special merchandise, and a drone show on Friday, Aug. 15! Fireworks will once again be on both Saturdays!
The gate specials offered throughout the week include a discounted $10 admission Monday through Thursday, as well as a Dollar Day on Tuesday, Aug. 12 and $5 admission on Thursday, Aug. 14! Communities in Schools of Greenbrier County – Tools for School Supply Drive will be on Monday, Aug. 11 – bring in three school supply items or two personal hygiene products and receive a coupon to use that day for $25 for rides and gate admission. Children age 10 and under will once again get in free all day, every day.
