Pocahontas Memorial Hospital is proud to announce that it has received a 5-star rating for patient recommendations from the Centers of Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) survey.
PMH is listed on Becker’s Hospital Review as one of 464 hospitals nationwide that patients would highly recommend. Only six other hospitals in the state of West Virginia made this list.
“We are thrilled to have received such a high HCAHPS rating and made Becker’s Hospital Review. We thank all of our staff throughout the facility for everything they do each day for our patients,” Michelle Deeds, Chief Executive Officer says. “We have worked hard over the years to improve our HCAHPS scores and this is a testament of the dedication of our entire staff to provide an excellent patient experience.”
The HCAHPS survey is a national standard by which all hospitals are measured by CMS, with input taken directly from hospital patients. The patient recommendation rating uses data from three HCAHPS survey questions and summarizes how well patients feel that their physicians explained things clearly, listened carefully to them, and treated them with courtesy and respect.
