Ronceverte

The Ronceverte Christmas Parade will take place on Monday, Dec. 1. Lineup is set to begin at 6 p.m., with the parade starting at 7 p.m. Entrants are asked to enter from Monroe Avenue to lineup. The parade route will follow 219 northbound, passing directly through the four-way intersection at the foot of Ronceverte Hill, then proceeding down Cherry Street to the finish. Santa will make an appearance for everyone’s enjoyment.

Lewisburg

The annual Lewisburg Christmas Parade will be held on Thursday, Dec. 4 at 7 p.m. Lineup will begin at 6 p.m. on GMS Drive at Hollowell Park. Pre-registration for the parade in not required. This year’s theme is “Candy Cane Christmas.” There will be a Sensory Area (quiet zone) located inside the CVB. Parents/Guardians will be required to stay with their child/children.

Alderson

The annual Christmas parade in Alderson will be on Friday, Dec. 5 at 6 p.m. Lineup is on Virginia Street until the time of the parade. This is a non-judged parade. Santa will be back at the Community Center (former AES cafeteria) after the parade.

“The parade route was a fiasco last year,” state event organizers on Alderson’s social media pages. “Our memorial bridge failed its inspection miserably and will require a large amount of funds and time to fix. As such, it is about to be closed to all ATV, alternative vehicles, and side by side traffic as well. Pedestrians are still allowed on the bridge, but no public vehicles of any type.”

The Christmas Parade will leave Virginia Street, proceed to Monroe Street North, then to Maple Avenue and back to Virginia Street ending at the Community Center where Santa will greet the folks and hand out treats.  The Alderson FPC choir will delight those gathered with traditional Christmas songs!  The Queen of Lights will light the traditional lights, tree, and star as always, except all will take place from the North end of the Memorial bridge before she turns up the street.

Come out and enjoy the beginning of the Christmas Season in “the Gem of the Hills.”

White Sulphur Springs

The White Sulphur Springs Christmas Parade will take place on Saturday, Dec. 6, with the parade lineup starting at 5 p.m. and the parade itself starting at 6 p.m. There will be a tree lighting at the Main Street Gazebo following the parade, and the West Virginia Jazz Orchestra.
