Is your teen interested in working outdoors this summer, developing career level skills, and contributing to the environmental health of the region?
Appalachian Headwaters is looking for motivated high school students for summer internships at Wood Thrush Park in Lewisburg, from June 9 to Aug. 15.
This nine-week program gives students real-world experience with a variety of outdoors-focused career paths. Interns work with our native habitat restoration team, Ecology Director, and education team on a daily basis.
Internship activities include developing exciting wildlife research skills, ecological restoration techniques, and collaborative/leadership skills. Interns will also support our nature-based Waldo Day Camp in its second season.
Interns can earn up to $4,000 for the whole internship period.
