Mullican Flooring Facebook campaign raises funds for Toys for Tots program

Mullican Flooring, a leading manufacturer of quality hardwood floors, made a $4,000 donation to the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation during the 2013 holiday season. The company donated $5 to the charity for each new “like” on Mullican’s Facebook page.

Mullican held two consecutive 12 Days of Christmas Facebook campaigns during the 2012 and 2013 holiday seasons, resulting in a total contribution of $9,000 to the charity. In addition, during the 2013 campaign, Mullican’s Johnson City employees filled bins at their local collection site with $400 in new toys.

“Mullican Flooring is extremely pleased to have assisted the Toys for Tots Foundation with its mission of distributing Christmas gifts to our community’s less-fortunate children,” says Brian Greenwell, Mullican’s vice president of sales and marketing. “In addition to this corporate contribution, our employees rallied around the cause and personally donated new toys to further benefit the important work of this charitable organization. Tressa Samdal, marketing coordinator, and Amber Oaks Stringer, marketing and claims coordinator, especially spent a lot of time and energy organizing this successful campaign.”
